Matte Wilson of Siċaŋġu Co joins host Betty Berning to talk about his group’s efforts to promote food sovereignty on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, an area twice the size of Rhode Island with only three grocery stores. Siċaŋġu trains people to grow their food and access fresh produce. The group is embracing its old traditions of regenerative agriculture to promote food production and independence while also creating new traditions.
